Michael Marcotte 

Michael is President & CEO of GN Johnston Equipment Co. Ltd, which is a provider of material handling equipment and related services to more than 30,000 customers across Canada, and a member of the Toyota family of enterprises. Michael sits on the Board of Directors of Johnston, and oversees more than 1200 employees in twenty-three locations therein. He has been held senior executive positions for the past 25 years within a cross section of Canadian companies, both publicly and privately held. An MBA graduate from McGill University, Michael is a past Chairperson of the Board, and his organization has been an avid supporter of BBBS for more than 25 years.

Jared Bourne

Jared is a Partner in the Mississauga office of MNP LLP, providing assurance and advisory services with specialization in audit and review engagements. Jared works with a wide variety of businesses to interpret and implement financial reporting requirements while helping them overcome operational challenges, minimize risk and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth. Jared is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant and graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program.

Starting his career with an international accounting firm in London Ontario, Jared also lived, worked and volunteered in the Cayman Islands, the United States and Kelowna BC before returning to Ontario in 2012. Jared and his wife Kelly have two young sons Grayson and Cooper. As a strong supporter of mentoring and the work of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, Jared joined the Board in 2013 to help contribute to their continued growth and positive impact on our community.

Treasurer
Adam Schure

Adam is the Vice President, Finance at GN Johnston Equipment Co. Ltd, Canada’s largest sales and service provider of material handling equipment. Adam is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant, and prior to working at Johnston Equipment was a Manager in the Assurance department at PwC. Adam has been actively involved in a variety of non-profit organizations in his working career, most recently as a member of the Finance Committee for The Mustard Seed, and Chairman of the Board for STAR of Hamilton. Adam and his wife Kim have one daughter, and he has joined the Board of Directors at BBBS Peel to provide his experience with strategic and fiscal planning to the organization.

Angel Massey-Singh

Angel Massey-Singh is the Director of Marketing & Communications at Canada’s Children’s Hospital Foundations. Throughout her career, she has been a leader at regional, national and global levels, working in both corporate and not-for-profit organizations developing relationships with partners and the community. Angel was introduced to Big Brothers Big Sisters in 1998 through volunteering as a Big Sister and hasn’t looked back – serving the organization in various capacities since then. She is passionate about the wellbeing of children and youth along with creating diverse and inclusive cultures. Angel’s hometown is Mississauga, but she has been a proud resident of Brampton for the last 19 years with her partner, two children and most recently, her mom.

Thompson Famoriyo

Thompson Famoriyo is a Career and Special Education Teacher with the Peel District School Board. In the last 26 years, he has taught at both the elementary and secondary school levels, and served as Assistant Administrator at both the Summer and Night School. He has a passion for caring and guiding students towards developing enviable characters and lifelong careers, an experience that earned him the 2013 Toronto Star Honour Roll Teacher Award. Thompson holds a Master Degree in Education from the University of Toronto and undergraduate Bachelor of Science. In 2015, Thompson received the Award of Teaching Excellence from the Peel District School Board for his distinguished contribution to student success.

A former soccer professional player, Thompson enjoys working out in the gym, coaching sports and also volunteers as a Resource Person with the Children Aid Society of Toronto. He currently lives in Brampton with his wife and two children.

Emmanuel Koudoumnakis

Manny is a VP and Market Manager with TD Private Wealth Management where he currently leads a team of Private Bankers and Private Trust professionals. He has over 25 years’ experience in the banking industry holding various positions throughout his career. Manny and his team work with families that have complex needs such as Investment Planning, Will and Estate Planning, Private Banking, Succession Planning and Legacy Planning. Manny has a Certified Financial Planner Designation and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto.

As a resident of Peel, he looks forward to giving back to his community. As a supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel, Manny was excited join the Board in early 2017.

Angie Rehal

Angie Rehal is a Paralegal with the Federal Department of Justice working in the Immigration Law Division since graduating from Humber College with a Law Clerk Diploma. Angie grew up in Brampton and has been residing in Mississauga since 1991. She is active in community work and has volunteered with Peel Board, Canadian Cancer Society, ONE Walk, Sikh International Film Festival and various peel schools as part of the Parent Council and many other agencies. Angie currently sits on the Board of Directors of Seva Foodbank and also participates in many other community initiatives. In her spare time, she runs a small business (Angie’s Golden Ghee) creating flavored organic ghee. Angie is the proud mom of two adult sons. Any free time is dedicated to yoga/fitness, reading, movies and long walks.

Clarissa Da Costa

Clarissa is the General Counsel at GN Johnston Equipment Co. Ltd, Canada’s largest sales and service provider of material handling equipment and has oversight for all legal matters across Canada. As a passionate advocate for diversity and innovation, Clarissa has always been active both personally and professionally to foster and drive such initiatives and was a leading member in her previous organizations, DuPont and John Deere, to promote women in leadership. Clarissa and her husband Harry have three boys, who love sports especially ice hockey.

Donna Coulson

Donna is the Manager, Finance and Operations for the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Donna has been a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters for over 17 years. She is also a member of the United Way Speakers’ Bureau where she speaks to organizations about the positive impact she has seen mentoring have on the youth of Peel and encourages individuals in the audience to make the United Way part of their annual giving. She holds an MBA from Queen’s University and a Certified Management Consultant designation. Donna is deeply committed to the amazing work done by Big Brothers Big Sisters and joined the Board of Directors to provide the Board with practical mentoring experience and context.

Jay Mian

Jay currently works as a National Account Manager for Bonduelle and has been in the food sales industry for approximately 22 years. He has worked in various areas including account management, strategic planning, accounting, and financial planning and analysis. Jay graduated from the MBA program at Wilfrid Laurier in 2010 and went on to obtain his CMA designation in the same year.

Jay joined the Big Brother Big Sister of Peel Board of Directors in January 2021 and has been on the finance committee since 2014. He has been a BBBS volunteer since 2014 and joined Big Brothers Big Sisters through his passion for working with youth and as a way to give back to his community.

Jay recently moved from Peel and currently lives in Cambridge, Ontario with his wife and three children. Jay is very passionate about travelling and has been to over 20 countries. He also enjoys spending time outside hiking and exploring nature and he became a PADI Scuba Diver in 2014.

Sarah Banks

Sarah works at RBC as a Human Resources Business Partner for Personal & Commercial Banking and Financial Planning. Over the last 15 years Sarah held a variety of HR roles including Performance Enablement, Recruitment Strategy and Employee Relations. She is known for making ideas happen and unlocking people potential. Mentorship has played an important role in Sarah’s life and that has fueled her passion to give back, with over 14 years of combined volunteer service with Big Brothers & Sisters. She started as the Chair for Big Bunch, moved into the In-school mentoring program, and was a Big Sister for many years before joining the Board in 2019. She also volunteers for the Toronto Regional Immigration Employment Council as a Career Coach, mentoring newcomers to Canada. Outside work and volunteering, Sarah enjoys travel and enjoying the great outdoors with her husband, 4 kids and dog.

Gary Kryshka

Gary is a retired Chartered Professional Accountant. Gary has been on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of York since 1982 and has served in various roles including, President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Gary is the current Chair and Treasurer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of York. Gary has contributed in many ways to his community and the Region of York. He looks forward to the successful union of York and Peel. Gary and his wife Karen have a son, daughter and granddaughter and Gary resides in Aurora. In his spare time, Gary is an avid skier.

Cecile Hammond

Cecile Hammond is a Deputy Chief of Police with York Regional Police. Throughout her 24-year career, she has served in variety of investigative and operational roles. Currently, she oversees the Support Branch which includes Operational Command, Support Services, Information Services and Community Services. She is committed to developing a culture of ethical leadership and creating a respectful and equitable work environment as the executive sponsor for two internal committees working to enhance the professionalism and inclusivity of our workplace.

Cecile is dedicated to community service and enhancing community partnerships. She is a member of the Ontario Women in Law Enforcement Advisory Committee and is actively engaged in her role as the executive sponsor for Canadian Blood Services. At the national level, she sits on the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Ethics Committee. She is also the executive sponsor for the National Peace Officers’ Run to Remember, in honour of fallen officers.

Cecile holds a bachelor of arts degree from York University and is the recipient of the Governor General Exemplary Service 20-year medal. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police and holds a Police Executive designation with the Ontario Municipal Management Institute. Cecile remains passionate about professionalism, teamwork, fitness and friendship. She is actively involved in several sports, including hockey and soccer.

Scott MacAulay

Scott is recently retired after spending 40 years working in the insurance industry. Prior to the unification of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel and York, he was involved with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of York organization for the past 25 years – first as a Big Brother, then as a board member. Scott and his wife Maurene live in Stouffville and in addition to BBBSPY, Scott also volunteers with the Stouffville Food Bank and with Golf Ontario.
