Many people know of Black Friday and Cyber Monday as the two unofficial days marking the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. Now, following these two days of buying we have a day of giving: Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a somewhat new Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, being coined the ‘Opening day of the giving season’. It’s a day where individuals, businesses and charities unite for their favourite causes.

For the past two years Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peel have been hosting the ‘Celebrity Server’ night at Boston Pizza, and will be following tradition again this year. From 5PM to 9PM on Tuesday, November 28th at Boston Pizza Square One, many mentees will be acting as servers for the evening. 15% of sales will be donated to the agency. The entire community is invited to come enjoy food and drinks that evening to support the cause.

How can you get involved? Go to Boston Pizza Square One on Giving Tuesday of course, or give back in any capacity. Whether it’s donating money, food, clothes, time, or joining in on social media, do something to be a part of the movement.
